How Prospecting can ruin your life

I've come to this conclusion...

The very thing that's supposed to help you build a thriving business... can actually ruin your life.

Let me explain.

Once upon a time, a mentor of mine got some advice from a 4 Million Dollar man.

He and his wife were having breakfast on the first day of a company trip they won, at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach.

He looked at the guy sitting next to him at their table...

And it's the #1 earner in their company.

The legend of legends in that biz; he was getting recognized that morning for crossing over $4.2 Million in the last 12 months.

As a side note, that was 18 years ago.

Also, rumor was, at the time that the legends' net worth was north of $300 Million

They talked about a lot of things, and in the end he gave him the "secret to success"

In a deep southern drawl he said...

"Look Vitaly, if you go out there and see 25 people a day for 3 straight years... your a$$ is gonna get rich."

Years later, we can say basically that was a lousy advice and I'll tell you why.

The crux was, it's not 25 people a day, some days... it's EVERY SINGLE DAY.

And as you probably know, consistency is a MAJOR key to success.

So he took the advice and did what he was told and his business started to grow.

However, he didn't do it for 3 straight years.

Because as you know...

It's not exactly a walk in the park to talk to 25 people, with enthusiasm, every day without exception.

Most will say NO or HECK NO.

You know what that does?

Each "NO" chips a little piece of your self-image away.

Very few will persevere without letting it get under their skin.

Most will suffer though, and buckle after a number of blows to their fragile self-esteem.

Because unless you're a sociopath with no emotions, rejection STINGS.

I've done it long enough (5 years) to know, which is why I believe traditional prospecting will hurt most people.

On the flip side...

You still need to have a way to "go through the numbers" to find those rare birds who want to fly with the eagles and not hang with the turkeys.

They're out there.

And you can use this attraction marketing system to find them.

Without any rejection whatsoever.
